Ok, so I know it’s corny, but I had to do it!

It’s great living in a small town. I’ve known Mrs. W. for quite some time….sort of. When we were discussing her family portrait session over the phone, we deduced that we must know each other even though we couldn’t match the others name to a face. As it turns out, we were right! When you live in a small town, you seem to eventually get to know (or know of) just about everyone.

We took off towards Mount Vernon to the Brewton Parker campus for this family’s photo session. They have a great collection of cabins called the Historic Village on the back of the campus. Its sits right behind their beautiful pond. Definitely a place to take the kids and explore! We had a fun time with the boys (and Mr. Frog).

Here’s a sneak peek!

We had so much fun with Brayden and his parents. We are also happy to call his parents our friends. He is just a delightful little guy. He enjoyed exploring the leaves outside and found a few pecans to boot!

Here’s a sneak peak for Mommy & Daddy:

We met this little cutie and just fell in love with her. She is such a happy little girl and 7 months old is such a fun age to photograph. She isn’t walking yet, but keeping her in front of the camera was still a challenge. She is one fast crawler! Her mother discovered she had an ear infection a couple of days after her session, but it did not keep her from having a good time!

Here are a few shots from her session:

Thank you to Jessica Vinson of Rachel Louise Designs in Vidalia, GA for creating the beautiful pink tutu we used for Baby M’s photo session. You can find her online at: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=7261903. She also has a display at the Pomegranate gift shop in Lyons, GA.

What a cute little “Monkey”!

Just a part of the catching-up we are doing.

We have had the honor of photographing the Vidalia Onion Triathlon since it began. While it may be only the second Triathlon for Vidalia, it has been an important part of fundraising for the United Way. As part of this fundraising event, we donate 15% of all our gross sales back to the United Way. Here are a few of the many (roughly 4800) photos from this year’s event.

Pre-Race. All the TRI athletes lining up for the swim.

A little casual conversation before the big swim?

I loved this guys helmet

She has a smile despite her 12 mile ride!

How can you pose for the camera after all that exertion?? This guy is good!

There were competitors of all ages…and sizes.

A few of Sam Ulhman, this year’s triathlon winner

We had a fabulous time at the TRI!!

All of the images are on our website at www.chrisburkephoto.com/photocart in the Event Photos gallery. I highly recommend coming out next year and watching…or better yet, participating. We will be there to catch you in action!

Little Mr. Paxton just celebrated his first birthday and we had the pleasure of having a cake “smash” with him.  He wasn’t too keen on the smash part.  Seems sweet little Paxton is a bit of a neat freak!  After a while, he abandoned the cake altogether to play with his birthday balloons instead.  We enjoyed our time with Paxton & Mom.  Hope you enjoy his photos.

Be sure to check out the storyboard collage at the end!
